The Heritage Newham – People, Places, Progress group is holding a public meeting on October 29 , following a date change,
In line with today’s current COVID restrictions it will be held online via Zoom. Apologies for the date change. We have had to move it from the original date due to unforeseen circumstances. It will now take place on October 29 from 4 to 6 pm.
We hope you can join us to discuss our future projects and anything else history or heritage related, writes Colin Grainger.
Speakers have been lined up to talk about new projects being considered to help us preserve the history and heritage of our borough.
Please email our founder Kevin Jenkins at email@example.com and he will send you back an invite to join the meeting.
And there’s also a chance for you to help shape the future of the group. We were formed four years ago by those with an interest in Newham’s rich heritage and history.
Our three social media pages on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, have posts at least once every day sharing memories and also previewing events staged not only by ourselves but other groups locally and nationally.
We also run a Heritage group for young people in the borough, in conjunction with charity Ambition, Aspire, Achieve.
We have posted and shared and created an archive of more than 5,200 images of the past, and shared many of them with of the 20 plus Facebook memories groups devoted to Newham. Please get in touch and join us.
